We are a not-for-profit project that strives to provide low cost, accessible, and diverse arts programming led by professional teaching artists in Los Angeles County.
Mision
We celebrate, promote, and cultivate the cultural expressions of the Americas.
Through arts education programs, cultural events, and media production, we seek to elevate underrepresented voices, bring communities together, and discuss social issues
Vision
We dream of…
A society in which access to the arts is a human right, and is treated as such, without any economic, political, or social barriers.
Stronger communities in which individuals have a sense of belonging by coming together through the arts to create, express, and support each other as a diverse collective of people.
An inclusive and always evolving education system in which the diversity of voices and traditions are valued and heard.
Values and Philosophy
To share the various and often underrepresented cultural traditions, contemporary expressions, artists, and voices, from all over the The Americas.
To approach education through play and life-enriching experiences.
To foster the power of education as a mechanism for building community and positive social change.
To challenge stereotypes that reduce a culture to superficial expressions and thus limiting the artistic endeavours of their people.
To challenge beliefs that uphold the supremacy of a culture/ ethnicity / person/ being / over another.
To question the current distribution of powers expressed in gender, sex, race, class, ethnicity, and culture.
To create awareness of what is The Americas and all the independent territories, countries, and colonies within.
